Cave East is a cave dive site in Roatán, Caribbean.
Overview
Cave East provides access to cavern formations on the eastern end of a cave system within the Sandy Bay reef wall. The site features swim-throughs and overhangs where ambient light creates dramatic effects. The surrounding wall supports gorgonian growth and encrusting sponges typical of the Sandy Bay reef. No site-specific marine life sources were found; specific species claims have been removed pending source verification.

Dive Profile
Approach the cave entrance carefully and assess conditions before entering. Maintain excellent buoyancy to avoid disturbing sediment. Follow the cave walls and always keep the entrance in sight unless properly trained for overhead environments. Exit the same way you entered.
