ScubaSites ("the site") provides general reference information about dive sites. It is not diving instruction, a dive plan, or a substitute for professional training, certification, or an up-to-date briefing from a qualified local dive operator. Conditions at any dive site — current, visibility, depth, weather, marine life — change constantly and may differ from what is described here.

2. Assumption of risk

Scuba diving is an inherently hazardous activity that can result in serious injury or death. You are solely responsible for your own safety and for diving within your certification, training, and physical ability, under the guidance of qualified professionals. By using this site you agree that you rely on its content at your own risk and that the site, its author, and its operators are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, any information here.

3. No warranty

Content is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we research, cross-check, and cite our sources, we do not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete, or current. We may change or remove content at any time.

4. Third-party data & links

The site incorporates open and third-party data (including OpenStreetMap / ODbL, OBIS, Open-Meteo, and published research), attributed where used, and may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party data or sites. The site is independent and not affiliated with the organisations or certifications it references.

5. Affiliate links

The site does not currently carry paid or affiliate links. If that changes, affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly on the affected pages, and such links will never alter the honesty of our recommendations.

6. Intellectual property

Our original written content and curation are ours. Underlying open data remains under its original licence (dive-site data under the ODbL); photography is used under the Unsplash License and credited on the credits page. Please respect those licences.
