Overview
Hookers Bottom is a Roatan Marine Park mooring positioned between the Bear’s Den and Spooky Channel areas along the Sandy Bay wall. The reef here features a sandy bottom zone before the wall drops away, with scattered coral heads and sponge formations rising from the substrate. Groupers and moray eels inhabit the overhangs, while southern stingrays occasionally rest on the sand flats. Visibility typically ranges from 20 to 40 meters, with water temperatures between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius.
