Overview
Kate’s Key occupies a section of the Half Moon Bay corridor near the boundary with West End, where the reef begins to develop the canyon-cut topography that characterizes this stretch of coastline. The wall profile includes several notches and indentations that create mini swim-throughs for adventurous divers. Yellowmouth groupers hold territory along the reef crest, and the sandy areas near the mooring support colonies of garden eels that retreat into their burrows as divers approach. Visibility is typically strong at 25-35 meters, and the moderate depth range makes this an accessible wall dive for certified open water divers looking to build wall diving experience.
