Richard’s Realm is a wall dive site in Roatán, Caribbean.
Overview
Richard’s Realm is a Roatan Marine Park mooring site located within the Spooky Channel corridor in Sandy Bay. Named by Gail Juppenlatz in tribute to her late husband, it was one of 22 new dive sites added to the park in 2022. The site sits along the dramatic wall system near Spooky Channel, where ancient geological forces carved channels and swim-throughs into the reef. Divers can expect healthy coral formations with barrel sponges and sea fans adorning the wall, along with the toadfish, scorpionfish, and lettuce sea slugs typical of this area. Visibility averages 20-40 meters with water temperatures of 26-29°C year-round.
