The Wife is a wall dive site in Roatán, Caribbean.
Overview
The Wife is a Roatan Marine Park mooring site along the wall corridor between West End and Half Moon Bay. The wall section here features a series of small overhangs and recessed ledges where marine life typical of the wall corridor takes shelter during the day. Rope sponges dangle from the underside of the overhangs, and arrow crabs pick through the crevices with their delicate legs. Above the wall, the reef top supports healthy stands of elkhorn coral fragments colonized by fire coral and small anemones hosting Pederson cleaner shrimp. The site is well-suited to intermediate divers comfortable with wall diving and good buoyancy control.
