Tranquility Base is a wall dive site in Roatán, Caribbean.

Overview

Tranquility Base is a Roatan Marine Park mooring site along the Sandy Bay barrier reef. As the name suggests, this site offers a peaceful diving experience along the south coast wall. While individual published information is limited, the Sandy Bay corridor is characterized by healthy coral growth with barrel sponges and sea fans decorating the wall face. Marine life includes green sea turtles, creole wrasse, groupers at cleaning stations, and the occasional eagle ray gliding along the wall. Visibility ranges 20-40 meters with water temperatures of 26-29°C.
