Salt City

A southern Bonaire fringing reef near the salt flats — between Invisibles and Jeannie’s Glory, with intermediate depth and the healthy reef typical of the southern dive belt.

Overview

Salt City is a southern Bonaire shore site on the west coast near the salt production facilities that give much of this coastline its character. The site offers intermediate-depth fringing reef diving between the Invisibles to the north and Jeannie’s Glory to the south, with the healthy coral cover and steady fish diversity that characterises this stretch of the Bonaire National Marine Park.

Marine Life

Parrotfish, angelfish, grunts, snapper, and groupers. Turtles seen along the coast. Moray eels in reef crevices.

Shore entry from roadside. Exit at the same point.
