Overview

Sweet Dreams is on Bonaire’s remote southwest coast, in the exposed stretch south of the main tourist belt where the road becomes rougher. The site sits between Vista Blue to the north and Willemstoren Lighthouse to the south, sharing the somewhat exposed character of the southern-tip diving. The reef is a gradual slope with healthy corals and the clearer water typical of the less-dived southern stretches. Advanced difficulty reflects the isolated location, the potential for current, and the absence of nearby support.

Marine Life

Parrotfish, angelfish, groupers, barracuda, and turtles. The sponge-covered slope supports typical Caribbean reef species with the cleaner water of the less-dived south coast.

Shore entry from the southern coastal road. Rocky/sandy shore. Exit at the same point.

Tips

• Early morning for calmest conditions
• Carry a dive flag and SMB given the exposed location
• The isolation means no nearby help — be self-sufficient
