Abu Talha is a dive site at coordinates 28.548°N, 34.518°E, placing it in the Hurghada / El Quseir area of the northern Red Sea, approximately 30–40 km south of Hurghada toward the Safaga zone. The name “Abu Talha” (meaning “father of acacia”) is an Arabic topographic term and does not appear prominently in English-language dive databases for this area, suggesting it may be a locally designated reef or one of many smaller named features along this stretch of coast. The northern Red Sea reef system in this band — between Safaga and Hurghada — features accessible reef diving with hard and soft corals, including notable sites such as Panorama Reef, Middle Reef, and various offshore ergs.
