Habili Ghadir

Habili Ghadir is a submerged pinnacle (habili) located in the Marsa Alam offshore zone at approximately 24.84°N, 35.12°E, making it a deep-water reef accessible by boat from Marsa Alam and Port Ghalib. “Ghadir” means a small pool or watering place in Arabic. The site is recorded in dive databases as an advanced drift and wall dive with strong currents and excellent visibility.
Overview
Habili Ghadir rises steeply from depth and is subject to open-ocean conditions. Average depth is 20 m with a maximum of 30 m. Strong currents (over 2 knots) are reported, making this a drift dive site for experienced divers. The exposed position attracts sharks and large pelagic fish that make this one of the more exciting habili dives in the Marsa Alam region. The site is described as difficult to locate, requiring a long boat journey of over 30 minutes from port.
