House Reef Taba

House Reef Taba is a shore dive site in Taba, located at the northernmost tip of the Gulf of Aqaba at the Egyptian–Israeli border. Taba is the northernmost diving destination on the Egyptian Red Sea, and house reefs in this area give divers direct beach access to the Gulf of Aqaba’s clear, reef-lined shores.
Overview
Taba and the surrounding area (Taba Heights) are characterised by calm Gulf of Aqaba conditions, excellent visibility, and fringing reefs that are accessible directly from the shore. The site is ideal for training, beginner divers, and underwater photographers. The Gulf of Aqaba’s northern section features rich coral communities along nearshore reef walls. Popular named sites in Taba include Abou Lou Lou House Reef (groupers, moray eels, lionfish) and El Mazeriq (hard coral hills and valleys with a famous giant brain coral). The “House Reef Taba” designation in OSM likely refers to the fringing reef of a specific Taba resort — exact property identity not confirmed.
