Lahami Bay Beach Housereef

Lahami Bay Beach Housereef is the direct shore-entry section of the Lahami Bay Beach Resort housereef in Hamata, southern Egyptian Red Sea. Located 180 km south of Marsa Alam and 10 km south of Hamata village, this is the inner beach-accessible portion of a 1.5 km banana-shaped coral ridge that runs parallel to the Lahami Bay coastline.
Overview
The beach housereef is the most accessible section of the Lahami Bay reef system, reachable on foot from the beach. An attractive fringing reef with coral outcrops rising from a sandy plateau creates natural swimthroughs and allows multiple repeat dives with varied routes. Between the beach entry and the reef itself, a seagrass meadow provides sheltered habitat for seahorses. The outer sections of the housereef (accessed by resort boat) offer more dramatic drop-offs and deeper coral formations.
