Lahami Bay Buoy 3 Batfish Pinnacle

Lahami Bay Buoy 3 Batfish Pinnacle is an outer housereef dive site at Lahami Bay Beach Resort (Extra Divers Lahami Bay), accessed by resort boat in Hamata, southern Egyptian Red Sea. The site is named for the batfish (Platax species) that congregate around the pinnacle formation at this outer reef section, which is one of the seven outer reef spots designated by the resort along its 1.5 km housereef.

Overview

Batfish pinnacles are a characteristic feature of healthy Red Sea reefs, where these large, disc-shaped fish often gather in schools around prominent coral structures. The Batfish Pinnacle at Buoy 3 is a known feature of the Lahami Bay outer housereef, recognised as a highlight site by the resort. The outer housereef sections are accessible by felluka or zodiac and offer more developed reef topography than the inner beach reef.
