Menaville House Reef

Menaville House Reef (also listed as Menaville Hotel Reef) is the in-front-of-hotel fringing reef of the Menaville Hotel in Safaga, on Egypt’s Red Sea coast approximately 60 kilometres south of Hurghada. Menadive, an SSI/PADI dive centre, operates from the hotel and provides direct access to the reef. The site is small and shallow, making it an ideal introduction to Red Sea reef diving.

Overview

The reef is a compact fringing reef directly in front of the Menaville Hotel. Maximum depth is approximately 8 metres (around 26 feet), and the shallow clear-water environment makes it well suited to first open water dives, refresher dives, and snorkelling. The site is primarily used by resort guests learning to dive or seeking a quick, uncrowded reef experience.

Dive Profile

Shore entry from the hotel beach leads directly onto the reef. The shallow, calm conditions allow extended bottom time and unhurried exploration. Divers should be aware of boat traffic during peak periods — around 08:30 and 15:30 when dive boats transit near the site.
