Extensive searching, including alternate transliterations, found no source confirming a Sudan Deep South dive site named “Dibsel Island.” The well-documented Deep South reef circuit (visited by the small number of liveaboards that run this route) includes named sites such as Barra Musa Kebir, Barra Musa Saghir, Keary Reef, Logan Reef, Protector Reef, Preserver Reef, Karam Masamirit, Dahrat Qab, Dahrat Abid, Shaab Loka, and Shaab Tawil — none of which is close enough to “Dibsel Island” to treat as a confirmed match. The detailed description previously published here (shark aggregations, current strength, specific coral condition) could not be traced to any source and has been removed.
