Guradoo North
Guradoo North is a reef dive along the northern face of Guradoo Island in South Male Atoll, offering a diverse hard coral landscape and reliable fish life in accessible depths.
Overview
The northern reef of Guradoo forms a sloping coral garden that descends from the shallows to about 25 metres before transitioning to a sandy plain. The upper slope between 5 and 15 metres is dominated by broad table corals and staghorn formations that shelter clouds of anthias and small reef fish. Deeper down, the slope gives way to scattered coral heads rising from white sand — classic habitat for blue-spotted stingrays and groups of resting nurse sharks. The outer edge of the reef sees regular passes by eagle rays and the occasional Napoleon wrasse. With light currents on the north-facing wall, this site is suitable for most intermediate divers and makes a comfortable second or third dive of the day. Visibility averages 15–25 metres. Water temperature holds at 27–29°C throughout the year.
